Gothic and Amazing — black rose logo Gothic & Amazing

For Musicians

Goth, darkwave, post-punk, gothic metal, symphonic metal and adjacent scenes.

Editorial work powered by APOV Visual Artist via our publishing studio. Capturing alternative fashion since 2012. Sister project: IrisArtPhoto.

Gothic and Amazing covers goth music alongside alternative fashion. We have interviewed bands from the Brazilian, Portuguese, German, Scandinavian and UK scenes, and we publish album reviews and live-show coverage when invited.

What we cover

What we do not cover

We do not cover music that promotes hate, violence, racism or political extremism. We do not cover religious music, even when the imagery is dark. Pure horror-themed acts (gore metal, splatter aesthetics) are outside our editorial line.

How to pitch

Pitch interviews and reviews through our open call, selecting the 'Music interview' track. Include the streaming link to your most recent release (Spotify, Bandcamp, Apple Music — never pirate sources), one promotional photograph (with the photographer credited), and a one-paragraph biography.

If you also need editorial photography for press shots in a goth or alternative register, see the relevant services of our publisher on studiotimeless.fr.

Frequently asked questions

Do you charge for music interviews?

Editorial interviews are unpaid on both sides. Some tracks (magazine inclusion, cover-story features) involve a small processing fee.

Can I pitch a single, an EP, or only full albums?

We cover EPs and singles when they mark a significant release for the act. Full albums and significant EPs are easier to pitch successfully.

Do you accept demo submissions from unsigned bands?

Yes. Unsigned acts have been featured since the magazine started, on the same editorial criteria as established bands.

Do you cover live shows?

When we attend, yes. Invite us via the 'Event coverage' track at submit.gothicandamazing.com — include the date, the line-up and the venue.
