Featured Designers

The alternative fashion brands and designers we have featured since 2014.

Editorial work powered by APOV Visual Artist via our publishing studio. Capturing alternative fashion since 2012. Sister project: IrisArtPhoto.

Over the past decade, Gothic and Amazing has featured dozens of designers and brands across the alternative fashion spectrum — from independent makers producing two-piece runs in their own studio, to international labels with worldwide distribution. This page indexes the brands you have seen most often in our editorials.

Independent designers and small labels

These are the people who hand-make most of what they sell. They are typically run by one or two people, produce in small batches, and prioritise craftsmanship over volume. Examples we have featured include Pretty Bastard, Villena Viscaria Clothing, Romantic Threads, Little Devil's Creations, The Crypt of Curiosities (accessories), and Nøkke Fensholt of Fairytailor (headpieces and headdresses).

International alternative fashion brands

These are larger labels with worldwide distribution and recognised goth aesthetics. They appear regularly in our editorials, often as part of brand collaborations or collection reviews. Examples include Killstar, Dark in Love, Sinister, Punk Rave, Necessary Evil, Wulgaria, Burleska Corsets, and Scarlet Darkness.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get my fashion brand featured in Gothic and Amazing?

Apply through submit.gothicandamazing.com under the 'Designer feature' or 'Brand review' tracks. Include a press kit, your most recent campaign, and a short brand description.

Do you only feature gothic brands?

We focus on alternative fashion in a broad sense: gothic, romantic goth, victorian, dark academia, witchy, fairy goth, cyber goth, post-punk inspired, steampunk and adjacent. We do not feature purely streetwear, athleisure, or mass-market brands.

Can a brand pay to appear in an editorial?

Editorial inclusion itself is not for sale. A small processing fee applies to certain submission tracks. Sponsored content, when it occurs, is always clearly labelled as such.

Do you cover sustainable and ethical alternative fashion?

Yes. Many of the independent designers we feature work in small batches, made-to-order, with low-waste practices. We highlight sustainability when it is part of the brand's story.
